Rensselaerville- Raymond Welsh, 56, of Rensselaerville, died Saturday, February 01, 2014, at his home with his loving family at his side.
Born May 30, 1957 in Queens, he was the son of the late Alfred C. and Catherine (Marshallsey) Welsh.
Ray received an Associates, Bachelors and Master's Degree in Accounting from SUNY Albany. He retired from NYS DOT after ten years of service.
Ray was predeceased by his parents, along with two brothers: William and Kenneth; and his sister, Rosemary.
Survivors include his wife, Carol (Piwinski) Welsh, whom he married August 7, 2004; his stepson, Michael Sullivan of Carmel and stepdaughter: Christine Sullivan of Manhattan; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, February 3, 2014 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh with Father Thomas Holmes officiating. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 5 to 7 PM. Cremation will follow the service at Vale Crematory, Schenectady.
