Middleburgh: Raymond "Ray Ray" R. Simeon, 18, died unexpectedly, Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the Cobleskill Regional Hospital, Cobleskill, NY from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Raymond was born in Cobleskill, NY on March 10, 1992, a son of Janet (Whiteman) and Randy Simeon of Middleburgh, NY, who survive him.
Raymond was a 2010 graduate of Middleburgh Central School and worked as a machine operator for Norampec in Scotia, NY.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles and dirt bikes, shooting paintballs, playing chess, video games and winning board games, snowmobiling, weightlifting, camping and hiking with his cousins. He especially loved his family and friends and his dog, "Spike," a miniature pinscher.
Raymond was predeceased by his aunt Dorothy Kane in 2008.
Besides his parents, Raymond is survived by his sisters: Shauna (Michael Jones) Simeon of Jefferson, NY, Ashley (Andrew Wynne) Wright of De Kalb Junction, NY; brothers: Brian Wright of Niskayuna, NY, Arthur (Suzanne Sharer) Wright of Schoharie, NY; sister: Tiffany (Joseph Hall) Flynn of Syracuse, NY; grandparents: Kathleen and Raymond Simeon of Middleburgh, NY, great-grandmother: Joan Casey of Stamford, NY; uncles and aunts: Scott and Gail Simeon, Todd Simeon, Dan and Stacey Simeon and special aunts and uncle: Maureen Spulka and Tracy and "Choo" Hayes of Middleburgh, NY; aunt: Millie Kane and great uncle: Tom Kane of Cobleskill, NY; cousins: Jacob (Jenna), Zach, Dylan, Noelle, Issac, Gabriel, Mandi, Cameron and Oliver all of Middleburgh, NY, Chris (Michelle) of Sprakers, NY, Tom (Nikki) of Cobleskill, NY; nephews: Trenton Jones of Jefferson, NY, Dale Hall of Syracuse, NY; niece: Naomi Napolitano of Syracuse, NY; his adopted brother: Dentish "Denny" Moore of Middleburgh, NY
Raymond is also survived by his girlfriend: Cayla Reinhart of West Fulton, NY.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10am, Thursday September 2, 2010 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Main St., Middleburgh, NY. Father Thomas Holmes will be celebrant.
Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation, to be held from 6-8pm, Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh, NY.
Cremation took place at the Vale Crematory, Schenectady, NY and inurnment will be private, at the convenience of the family.
