Raymond Bouffier

Gilboa- Raymond J. Bouffier, 88, formerly of Gilboa, died Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Robinson Terrace Nursing Home.

Born October 16, 1931 in Queens, he was the son of Arthur and Hilda (Hardick) Bouffier. Ray moved from Long Island to Schoharie County in 2000.

A patriotic gentleman, he was a United States Navy Veteran, proudly serving during the Korean War from 1951 until receiving his honorable discharge in 1954.

He enjoyed golfing, loved his sailboat, was an avid hunter and lived on glazed doughnuts.  Ray took pride in his vegetable garden as well.  He was a self-employed salesman.

Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Diane Bouffier of Rotterdam and his three granddaughters:  Sara (Eric) Bouffier-Sauer, Julianne Bouffier, and Brielle Bouffier.  He was predeceased by three sons:  Raymond, Matthew, and Jerry Bouffier.

A private graveside service will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.  There will be no public visitation.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY  12043.
