Cobleskill- Randolf R. Conklin, 70, of North Street, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Born August 18, 1940 in Suffern, NY, he was a son of Charles and Helen (Osborne) Conklin. Randolf was raised in Monsey, NY, and later raised his own family in Kingston. He had been employed at Ulster County Jail for many years and then moved to Jefferson. For the past fifteen years he has lived in Cobleskill.

Randolf's pride was his family and most recently he cherished the time with his two granddaughters.

He was predeceased by his siblings: Charles, Alexander, Harold, Henry, and Angie.

Survivors include his two sons: Randolph R. (Angie) Conklin of Attica, MI and Darren (Kristine) Conklin of Attica, MI; his two granddaughters: Gabrielle and Paige Conklin of Attica, MI; his three sisters: Joan Kreyer of Poinette, WI, Josephine Warren of Washingtonville, NY and Carolann Holmes of Spring Valley, NY; four brothers: Robert Conklin of Jefferson, NY, Everett Conklin of E. Worcester, Donald Conklin of Schenevus, and William Conklin of Suffern and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill. Officiating will be Sister Connie James of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Cobleskill. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held at the funeral home from 5 to 6 PM Sat., prior to the service.
