Middleburgh/Esperance: Randall F. Becker Jr., 67, of Feuz Terrace, passed away suddenly on March 31, 2015 at Kendall Regional Trauma Center in Miami, after suffering critical injuries from a motorcycle accident.
Scott was born on May 19, 1947 in Cobleskill, NY, the oldest son of Marjorie (Marge) and Randall (Randy) Becker.
He graduated from Middleburgh High School in 1965 and went on for studies at Westminster College in Pennsylvania, and then transferring to SUNY Cobleskill, where he met his love Barbara (Barb). Scott owned and operated his own excavation and construction business for 35 years and also worked at The Middleburgh Telephone Company. He was crew chief and an avid supporter of his son's racing programs, loving to travel to wherever the road would take them. When the time came that his son's embarked on a project, whether large or small, Scott was always there to see it through with them.
Scott was an adoring husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather who loved his family and friends to no end. His grandchildren thought the world of Pop-Pop and will miss him dearly.
Scott was traveling in the Florida Keys area, where Barbara and he would travel and loved so very much, when the accident happened. He fought bravely for his life. In the end he was taken and can now rest peacefully with Barbara.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Barbara (Liggett) Becker in 2014 and his father, Randall (Randy) Becker in 2006.
Scott is survived by his sons: Jim (Carolyn) Becker of Guilderland, Jason (Traci) Becker of Cobleskill; mother: Marjorie (Rose) Becker of Middleburgh; brothers: Edmund (Kathleen) Becker of Atlanta, Chris Becker of Middleburgh, and Bruce (Michele) Becker of Middleburgh; six loving grandchildren: Brett, Megan, Dylan, Jacob, Brody, Jared; many nieces, nephews and close friends.
