Ralph C. Giesin, 87, of Driftwood Apartments, died Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Robinson Terrace in Stamford, following a brief illness.
Mr. Giesin was born in Yonkers, NY on November 26, 1921 a son of the late Louise (Mugler) and William Giesin. He moved to North Blenheim in 1941 from Pennsylvania. He was a self-employed dairy farmer most of his life, but did work briefly for the Town of Blenheim Highway Department. Mr. Giesin enjoyed coon hounds.
He was predeceased by his brother, Stuart Giesin.
Mr. Giesin is survived by his sister, Jewel Tizler of Delmar, NY, step-sisters, Anna (George) Clark of Gilboa, NY and Carole (John) Gully of Wynantskill, NY, step-brothers, Peter (Bonnie) Giesin of North Blenheim, NY and Ronald (Sherle) Giesin of Richmondville, NY and many nieces and nephews
A Graveside service will be held at 10am, Saturday, September 26, 2009 in the Middleburgh Cemetery. Rev. Neil Irwin of the North Blenheim and West Fulton Methodist Churches will officiate. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation from 6-8pm, Friday September 25, 2009 at the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh, NY.
