Phoebe Batz

Franklinton- Mrs. Phoebe D. Batz, 89, of Gates Hill Road, died Sunday, June 4, 2006 at her daughter's home.
Mrs. Batz was born March 6, 1917 in Bronx, NY, the daughter of Edward and Anna (Faulk) Kuehn.
She moved to this area in 1971 from Amityville. Mrs. Batz was a volunteer for the former Community Hospital Ladies Auxiliary
She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard F. Batz, who died May 27, 1983, and a grandson, Carl B. Batz, Jr.
Survivors include a daughter- Mary Ann Profilio of Jefferson; 4 sons: Carl B. Batz of Marion, SC, Robert E. Batz of Tucson, AZ, Allan W. Batz of West Babylon, NY, and William F. Batz of Bayshore, NY; 8 grandchildren: Robert S. Batz of Stuarts Draft, VA, Daniel E. Wade of Jefferson, NY, Allan W. Batz, Jr. of Middleburgh, Edward J. Batz of Amityville, NY, Meredith L. (Wade) Steel of Jefferson, NY, Heather A. (Batz) Smith of Tucson, AZ, Brooke P. Batz of Hamilton, NJ, and Justin W. Batz of Tucson, AZ; 8 great-grandchildren: Tiffany Palazzo of West Palm Beach, FL, Zachery Batz of Middleburgh, Courtney Wade of Jefferson, Katelyn Batz of Middleburgh, Daniel Wade of Jefferson, Jesse Batz of Middleburgh, Seth Wade of Jefferson, and Benjamin Batz of Middleburgh; 1 great-great-granddaughter- Alyssa Palazzo of West Palm Beach, FL.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 8, at Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home 134 River St. Middleburgh. Co officiating will be Rev. Carol Coltrain of the Huntersland United Methodist Church and Deacon Glenn Schermerhorn of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Stamford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM on Tues., June 6, and 6 to 8 PM on Wed., June 7. Burial will be in Middleburgh Cemetery.
