COBLESKILL - Philip W. Jameson, 80, of Hubb Shutts Rd, died Sunday, February 11, 2007 at his residence.
Mr. Jameson was born August 21, 1926 in Manhattan, NY and was the son of Philip A. and Mabel (Marrifeld) Jameson.
He was a U.S. Naval veteran serving from 1945 and being honorably discharged as Fireman 2nd Class in 1946. He was also a 35 year member of the West New York Fire Department in West New York, NJ and was promoted to Captain for the last 20 years of his career before retiring in 1980, a member of the Free and Accepted Mason Lodge 0394 of Cobleskill, The Benevolent and Protected Order of Elks Lodge 3167 of Rotterdam, NY, and the Zion Lutheran Church of Cobleskill.
Mr. Jameson was predeceased by his wife, Helen Giezendanner Jameson, who died December 15, 1986.
He is survived by one daughter, Elaine (Phil) Segali of New Windsor, NY, three sons, Richard (Gini) Jameson of Cobleskill, Randy (Donna) Jameson of Saddlebrook, NJ, and Robert (Patti) Jameson of West New York, NJ, one brother, Warren (Louise) Jameson of Sea Bright, NJ, one sister-in-law, Emily Loris of Cobleskill, 8 grandchildren and his companion of many years, Lillian Hillman of Schenectady.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
