Middleburgh- Pheonix M.S. Mattice, 8, of Guinea Road, died Friday, December 14, 2012 at Albany Medical Center following a long illness.
She was born September 30, 2004 in Cooperstown and lived in Middleburgh all her life.
Pheonix was a glowing child who loved listening to music and enjoyed stuffed elephant toys.
Survivors include her parents: Sarah (Nathan) Maxwell and four sisters: Trinity Mattice, Ashliegh Mullen, Kayli Mullen, and Michele Waddell all of Middleburgh; her maternal grandparents: Richard and Kathleen Ericson of Stamford; paternal grandparents: Joseph and Emma Maxwell of Middleburgh; maternal great-grandfather: Walter Beadling of Summit; paternal great-grandmother: Lucretia King of Middleburgh; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Breakabeen Presbyterian Church, Clauverwie Road, Breakabeen. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held at the church prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM. Burial will follow in Breakabeen Cemetery.
