Cobleskill- Pearl Harrington entered into eternal peace at the age of 87 on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at her home on Mineral Springs Road, Cobleskill with her daughter, Ruth Hayes, son-in-law, Imer, grandchildren and close family and friends by her side.
Pearl was born August 25, 1921 in the Town of Summit. She was the daughter of Eva and Harry Roe, Sr.
Pearl was married to Dorwin L. Harrington, Sr. on January 16, 1940 in Prattsville, NY.
Pearl lived most of her married life in the Cobleskill area. Pearl lived on Mineral Springs Road, Cobleskill for the past 55 years. She was a dedicated housewife, mother and grandmother all her life.
Pearl greatly enjoyed her family and friends. She enjoyed baking, sewing, bird watching, her 4 chickens, and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Dorwin Harrington, Sr., who still survives, she is survived by daughters: Ruth (Imer) Hayes of Middleburgh, and Laura (Joe) Fancher of Cobleskill; and a son, Dorwin (Nancy) Harrington, Jr. of Carlisle Center, and a sister, Virginia Felter of Ballson Spa.
She is survived by grandchildren: Christy (Kyle) Marshall of Oneida, Doreen (Gary) Hotaling of Sharon Springs, Beth (Argon) Nelsen of Stamford, NY, Dean (Christine) Harrington of Carlisle Center, Annette (Ken) Carter of Redford, NY, Becky (Jeff) Carter of Saranac, Imer (Sandy) Hayes, Jr., of Worcester, NY, and Bill Hayes (Tracy Scott) of Florida.
Pearl is also survived by great-grandchildren: Trent Perry and Robert Nelsen, both of Stamford, NY, Nathaniel and Nicholas Marshall of Oneida, Cody Hotaling of Sharon Springs, Amanda, Kristofer, and Shannon Harrington all of Carlisle Center, Ashley Hayes and Shabrisa Civitello of Worcester, NY, Taylor Ann Scott of Florida, and Laurie and Amy Carter of Saranac.
Pearl was predeceased by a great-grandson, Brandon Hotaling, a brother, Harry Roe, Jr., and a sister, Bessie Roe.
Services will be privately held at the convenience of the family
