Howes Cave- Pauline “Polly” M. Nirschl, 82, of Sagendorf Corners Road, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, April 13, 2018.
Born on June 18, 1935 to the late William and Bessie (Bressett) Flint, Polly grew up on the family dairy farm in East Springfield. She graduated from Springfield Central School in 1954 and then worked as a nurse’s aide at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown.
On October 27, 1956 she married Anton “Tony” Nirschl and then worked at the former Community Hospital in Cobleskill where she became a registered x-ray technician. Later she received her L.P.N. from Albany Memorial.
Pauline was her husband’s secretary for Tony’s TV Sales and Service. She was a charter member of the former Open Bible Baptist Church, now Valley Bible Baptist Church.
Pauline was predeceased by her husband in 2013, as well as her daughter, Mary Beth.
Survivors include her daughter, June (Thomas) Tessier and their five children: Thomas II, Brandon, Brentley, Brynn, and Hannah; her son, Anton William (Colleen Saeli) Nirschl and their three children: Jacqueline, Trent, and Emily; and her twin brother, Paul Flint.
Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation to be held from 6 to 8PM on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Valley Bible Baptist Church, Mineral Springs Road, Cobleskill. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday at the church. Burial will be in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
