Middleburgh- Paul C. Reinhart, 73, of East Hill Road, died Sunday, July 2, 2006 at his residence following a long illness.
Mr. Rienhart was born April 25, 1933 in the Town of Broome, and was the son of Guy and Minnie (Schanz) Reinhart.
He was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Middleburgh Central School.
Mr. Reinhart retired from Baumann's Brookside in Greenville, where he was a groundskeeper. Having been a farmer all his life, he served as director of the Dairymen's League and was a committeeman for ASCS and Agway. At one time he was assessor for the Town of Broome, highway superintendent from 1984 to 1985 and then worked as a laborer for Broome.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor (Mercer) Reinhart, whom he married December 22, 1954; a son, Timothy Reinhart of Middleburgh; 3 daughters: Arleen (Doug) Kingsbury of Middleburgh, Alyce (Scott) DeCotes of Altamont, and Lorraine (Kenny) Troy of Montgomery, NY; 5 grandchildren: Chelsea Kingsbury, Kiera and Devin DeCotes, Brittni and Ryan Troy; 2 step grandchildren: Jeff and Jennifer Kingsbury; 6 great-step grandchildren; a twin sister, Pauline (Maurice) Reinhart Mercer of Middleburgh; brother-in-laws and spouses: Skip and Jennie Mercer of Latham, and Bud and Edna Mercer of Albany; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation period will be held from 2 to 6 PM on Tues., July 4, 2006 at Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home 134 River St. Middleburgh. Funeral service and burial will be private.
