Fultonham- Paul R. Moon, 64, of Pleasant Valley Road, died unexpectedly on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.
Born August 25, 1950 in Queens, he was the son of LeRoy H. and Mildred (Mann) Moon, Sr.
A graduate of the former Cobleskill Central School, Paul retired from P & C Foods where he was a butcher mainly working in the store in Cooperstown, but also in Cobleskill.
His hobbies included woodworking, tinkering with electronics, music, and treasure hunting with his metal detector. He was a Jehovah's Witness, and found much pleasure in going door-to-door to tell the truth.
Paul had a heart of gold and was the husband of Patricia (Harvey) Moon, whom he married October 5, 1995; other survivors include his children: Christopher Moon of Las Vegas, NV, Nicole Moon Timberman of Port Charlotte, FL, Arlene Englebright of Arlington, WA; three step-children: JoAnn Reinhardt of Ithaca, Jane Mullin of Newark, NY, and Peggy Sue Hall of Naples, FL; two brothers: LeRoy H. Moon, Jr. of Richmondville, and Earl Moon of Scotia; his step-mother: Lucille Moon of Cobleskill; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A period of visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh. A memorial talk will be at 5:00 PM on Friday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3706 State Route 145, Cobleskill, NY.
