Patricia York

Preston Hollow- Patricia York, 63, of Fox Creek Road, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany.

Born November 11, 1951 in Manhattan, she was the daughter of Walter and Eleanor (Kling) McGinty.

For many years Patricia was employed as a teacher's assistant working in both the Middleburgh Elementary and Central Schools. She also was a life skills coach for Schoharie County ARC for many years.

Patricia was very artistic, enjoyed gardening, and tending to her little blue home.

She is survived by her three children: Mary (John) Parker of Clayton, NC, Michael (Melody) York of Niskayuna, and Teresa York of Albany; four grandchildren: Evan and Seth Parker and Emma and Addison York; and her significant partner for the past fifteen years: Michael Pointon of Preston Hollow.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Main St., Middleburgh with Father Matthew Wetsel as celebrant. Family and friends are also invited to attend a period of visitation to be held from 4 PM to 8 PM on Monday at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh. Cremation will follow the mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's name to The Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144.
