Patricia Mau

Cobleskill- Patricia T. Mau, 86, of Mineral Springs Road, died Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.

Born August 11, 1933 in Town of Broome, NY, she was the daughter of Osee and Charlotte (Simpson) Thorington.

For twenty years Pat was a teacher’s assistant working in the Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District.  She was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church and its Ladies Auxiliary in Central Bridge.

Pat married Walter G. Mau, Jr on May 29, 1954 and he predeceased her October 16, 2013.  She was predeceased by her sisters, Elizabeth, Kathryn and Rose along with her brother Harold.

Cherishing her loving memories are her four children:  Barbara Kossmann of Guilderland, Steven Mau of Seattle, WA, Mark (Jeanne) Mau of Cobleskill, and Matthew Mau of Scotia; six grandchildren:  Michelle Mau of Cary, NC, Nickolas Kossmann of Middleburgh, Gretchen Mau of Cobleskill, Analiese Mau of Cobleskill, Warren Mau of Pensacola, FL and Joshua Mau of Scotia; and her great-granddaughter, Cece Mara of Cary, NC.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation to be held from 5-7pm, Friday, February 28 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.  All are invited to the funeral service that will be held at 2PM Saturday, February 29 at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 185 Church St., Central Bridge with Rev. Bert Mayne officiating.  Cremation will follow the service and a spring interment will be in Zion Rural Cemetery, Seward, NY.
