Patricia M. Chassey

Richmondville- Patricia “Pat” M. Chassey, 85, passed away on the evening of February 20, 2022, following a lengthy illness with her loving daughters by her side.

Pat was born on Feb. 7, 1937 in Fairhaven, MA to Arthur Chassey and Angelina Beliveau Chassey.

She attended Nott Terrace High School and upon completion moved to Binghamton, NY where she married and had children. In 1978 she and her girls moved to Clifton Park and then back to Schenectady in 1980 to be near her mother and sister. Pat raised her two girls and worked for Fairchild/Factron in Latham, NY, and E-One in Niskayuna until her retirement in 2008. That same year she moved to Richmondville, NY to live next to her daughter and her family until her passing.

Pat enjoyed gardening, mysteries, and cooking. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Robert, sister, Vivian, and a grandson, Keith Lasher.

She is survived by her daughters, Janette Civitello and Dianne (Jim, Jr.) Luffman; stepsons: Jim (Wendy) Smith and Doug Smith; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
