Jefferson- Otto Endresen, 91, of Enid Road, died Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.
Born April 22, 1926 in Brooklyn, he was the son of Otto and Tellfine (Henriksen) Endresen.
His family moved to Jefferson when he was a toddler and raised him on the family farm. He served twenty-five years as a correction officer with NYS Dept. of Corrections.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth (Nickel) Endresen, whom he married August 24, 1957; four children: Jonathan Endresen of Jefferson, Naomi Johnston of Arlington, VA, Daniel (Maria) Endresen of Elgin, Quebec, and Lois (Bernhard) Meier of Saint Lazare, Quebec; one brother, Alf Endresen of Sebastian, FL; and eleven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the Jefferson Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Adams officiating. A committal service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at East Jefferson Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
