Central Bridge- Oliver "Ollie" A. Alqoutob, Sr., 50, of State Route 30, died Friday, September 9, 2016 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.
He was born August 13, 1966 in Yonkers.
Ollie was the service manager at the former High Peaks in Rensselaer. For the past twenty years, he has served as an EMT and firefighter. More recently, he was a member of the Central Bridge Volunteer Fire Dept., Carlisle Volunteer Fire Dept., and Valley Falls Volunteer Fire Dept. Ollie was also a member of the Fraternal Organization of Cobleskill Eagles Aeries #2695.
Survivors include his wife, Angela (Slaugenhoupt) Alqoutob, whom he married Aug. 5, 2012; son, Oliver A. Alqoutob, Jr.; parents: Hasan and Ingeborg G. (Baeckmann) Alqoutob of Lancaster, NY; two sisters: Andrea (Steve) Wik of Lancaster and Sabine Baeckmann of Angola, NY; his two precious granddaughters: Janaja and Nevaeh Cooper of Central Bridge; his father and mother-in-law: Kenneth and Esther Slaugenhoupt of Lewistown, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill with a period of visitation to be held prior to the service from 4 PM to 6 PM.
