Summit- Nicholas F. Pollicino, 91, of Steve's Path, died at home with his wife and son at his side on February 5, 2015.

Born July 29, 1923 in Brooklyn, he was the son of Frank and Concetta Pollicino.

He was a United States Army veteran, proudly serving his country during World War II until receiving an honorable discharge in 1945.

He and his family resided in Hicksville, Long Island until moving to the home he built in Summit in 2008. Nicholas retired as a field representative for CSEA in Albany.

He was of catholic faith. His hobbies included traveling, trips to the casino, and just enjoying his country home.

A son, Steve, who died Sept. 11, 2001, predeceased him.

Survivors include his wife, Antoinette (Banico) Pollicino, whom he married April 29, 1947; his son: Douglas Pollicino (Melissa) of Summit; two grandchildren: Steven and Celeste Pollicino; and two great-grandchildren: Rocco and Nicholas Pollicino.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. There will be no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made to Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. 125 Granite Dr., Suite 1, Cobleskill, NY 12043.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill and Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home of Middleburgh.
