Myrtle Keene

Myrtle E. Keene, 90, formerly of Harrington Rd., died Thurs. July 10, 2008 at Robinson Terrace in Stamford, NY following a brief illness.

Mrs. Keene was born on June 13, 1918, in Johnson City, NY, a daughter of the late Arthur G. and Bertha (Coon) Phelps. Mrs. Keene enjoyed working. She was housekeeper by trade, throughout the area, before going to work at the Max V. Shaul State Park in Fultonham, NY. She eventually retired at the age of 75. Mrs. Keene loved cats and was a member of the Breakabeen Presbyterian Church. She was predeceased by a son, Josh Vought, Jr., a sister, Mable Hughes and a brother, Floyd Phelps. She is survived by:

There are no services at this time. Cremation took place at the Vale Crematory Schenectady, NY. The Palmer & Shaylor, Inc Funeral Home, Middleburgh, NY and the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, Cobleskill are assisting the family with the arrangements.
