Muriel Jane (English) Swanberry formerly of Billerica, MA, peacefully passed on June 12, 2026.

Muriel was born June 2, 1931, to Wallace and Della (Swart) English of West Fulton, NY.

Muriel was preceded in death by her husband, James; sisters, Elsie Rogers, Vera Alford and brothers, Vernon and Edgar.

Muriel is survived by her seven children, Kathleen (Michael) O'Dea of Cranston RI, Mark (Lissa) Swanberry of West Fulton, NY, Steven (Marcelle) Swanberry of West Fulton, NY, Susan (Howard) Elias of Hampton, NH, Sally Floyd of Albany, NY, Jamie Beaudoin of Methuen, MA, David (Barbara) Swanberry of Sharpsburg, MD; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a niece, Jane (Rogers) Joyal of Summit, NY.

Muriel surrounded herself with children, her own, as well as the numerous children she lovingly cared for in her home daycare.

Muriel was a member of the First Congregational Church in Billerica, MA, where she enjoyed many years in the women's group, as well as the choir.

Muriel enjoyed time with her large family (especially holiday gatherings), sewing, crafting, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, playing the piano, and feeding and watching birds.

Services are private. Interment will take place in Breakabeen Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
