Muriel Kane

Argusville- Muriel E. Kane, 88, formerly of Argusville, died Friday, November 11, 2016 at Palatine Nursing Home, Palatine Bridge, where she had been a resident for the past year.

Born July 20, 1928 in Argusville, she was the daughter of Roy and Elizabeth (Roberts) Pratt.

Muriel was a homemaker, deriving pleasure from raising her two children and being the wife of Donald E. Kane, Sr., whom she married August 1, 1947.

She worshipped at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Leesville.

Muriel was predeceased by Donald, who died January 25, 1993, and three sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include her children: Donna (Charles) Olsen of Sharon Springs and Donald A. (Shelley) Kane, Jr of Otego; three granddaughters: Jodi Olsen, Kristen Olsen, and Emily Kane; and one great-grandson: Michael Ray.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life to be held from 2-4 PM on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Carlisle Fire Department, State Route 20, Carlisle. A private graveside service will be held at Slate Hill Cemetery, Sharon, NY
