Cobleskill- Lillian M. (Razmantas) Pindiak, came into this world on the feast of the Immaculate Conception 1929, at St. Catherine's Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, and was born to eternal life on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Albany Medical Center.
Mrs. (Razmantas) Pindiak was a 1950 graduate of Mary Immaculate Hospital School of Nursing, Jamaica, NY. She began as a Delivery Room Staff Nurse at Mary Immaculate Hospital, Jamaica, NY. She then continued her vocation at Creedmoor State Hospital, St. Alban, NY, where she became Head Nurse of the Insulin Coma Unit. Upon moving to Albany, she served as Assistant Evening Supervisor at Albany Hospital (now Albany Medical Center). A devoted mother, she then cared for her children until her youngest entered 1st grade. She continued her career at SUNY Cobleskill, from which she retired after 22 years of service as Head Nurse of the Beard Health Center.
She was an American Red Cross CPR instructor for many years.
Mrs. Pindiak was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, Catechist, and Leader of Prayer.
She completed the Formation for Ministry Program in 2001.
In 2000, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of almost 45 years, Frank J., and her dear sister, Helen Matcovich and her husband, Philip.
She leaves her family, Ginny and Richard Nyahay, Joanne and Gregory Chase, Frank Pindiak, Jr, a granddaughter, Helen Anne Pindiak; a niece, Susan Warrick and Ron, and two nephews, Philip Matcovich and Lorraine, and Charles Matcovich and Sue Ellen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 138 Washington Ave., Cobleskill with Father Jeffrey L'Arche as celebrant. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, April 6, at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill. Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Church, or the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley Inc., PO Box 40, Howes Cave, NY 12092, or to a charity of one's choice.
