Minard Macneil

Cobleskill- Minard "Mac" MacNeil, 78, of Parkway Drive, died Monday, November 13, 2006 at his residence.
Mac was born May 1, 1928, the son of the late Harold and Celia (Swart) MacNeil.
He retired from Price Chopper of Cobleskill where he worked in the Custom Cut Department for many years.
Mac was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church where he was the first President to serve on the Parish Council and also served as a church usher.
He was a member of the Cobleskill Historical Society and the Cobleskill Fairgrounds Historic Treasures.
Mac was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Eugene MacNeil of Cobleskill.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia (Purcell) MacNeil, whom he married October 2, 1955; 2 daughters: Susan MacNeil of Cobleskill and Kelly (Kevin) Brough of Gansvoort; a sister, Kathryn Mattice of Cobleskill; 2 granddaughters: Ashley Brough of Gansvoort and Elizabeth MacNeil of Cobleskill; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Thursday, Nov. 16, at St. Vincent de Paul Church 138 Washington Ave. Cobleskill. Celebrant will be Father Thomas F. Holmes. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home 171 Elm St. Cobleskill. Burial will be in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.
