CATSKILL- Miles "Jim" Higgins, 56, of Freehold, died Saturday, July 1, at Eden Park Healthcare Center in Catskill.
Mr. Higgins was born April 4, 1950 in Catskill, NY and was the son of Miles and Irene
(Richtmyer) Higgins.
He graduated from Brockport State University in Brockport, NY in 1972 with a Bachelor Degree of Elementary Education in Physical Education and was employed by the Cairo-Durham Central School System. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in
Middleburgh, NY.
Mr. Higgins is survived by two sons, Sean Higgins of Altamont, NY and Craig Higgins of Phoenix, AZ, one granddaughter, Keara Higgins of Altamont, NY, one sister, Linda
Brown of Gilboa, NY and one brother, Fred Higgins of Utah.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 6 at Palmer & Shaylor, Inc.
Funeral Home, 134 River Street in Middleburgh, NY with the Rev. Peter DeBartolo of St. Mark's Lutheran Church officiating. Callings hours will be held at the Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 5, from 6-8 pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
