Mildred A. Chichester, 85, died Fri. Dec. 14, 2007 at her home.

Mildred was born in the Town of Broome on May 16, 1922 a daughter of the late Harold and Lena (Foland) Cain.

She graduated from Middleburgh Central School and resided in the Town of Broome with her husband Arthur, who predeceased her on Sept. 14, 1999 after 58 years of marriage. Mildred was dedicated to her family and enjoyed working with them on the hill farm that they purchased, in the Town of Broome, in 1945. She worked in the Schoharie County Clerk's office for over 20 years, retiring as the First Deputy County Clerk. Mrs. Chichester was a member of the Franklinton Grange and the Livingstonville Community Church. She is survived by:

Brother: Marvin (Rose) Cain Midlothian, VA.
Several Nieces and Nephews.

A Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tues. Dec. 18, 2007 at the Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home, 134 River St. Middleburgh, NY. Rev. Carol Coltrain will officiate. A spring interment will take place in the Livingstonville Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call Mon. Dec. 17, 2007 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
