Richmondville- Michelle Denise Whitbeck, 47, of Lape Road, died suddenly on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.
Born December 3, 1967 in Amsterdam, she is the daughter of Roger and Sylvia (Trafton) Duda of Cooperstown. She is also survived by her husband of twenty-one years: Robert F. Whitbeck, Jr; her two daughters: Kaitlyn and Meaghan; two brothers: her twin, Michael Duda of Tennessee, and Christopher Duda of Milford; father and mother-in-law: Robert and Elizabeth Whitbeck, Sr. of Sharon Springs; brother-in-law: Jason Whitbeck of Troy, and aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Michelle worked as a nurse's aide for twenty-seven years, most recently at Sharon Adult Manor. She enjoyed baking, cooking, collecting angels, and loved animals.
In her memory, a celebration of life will be held in the spring when family and friends will gather to mourn and remember what a strong and loving woman she was. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley, Inc., PO Box 40, Howes Cave, NY 12092.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill and Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home of Middleburgh.
