Michael Roth

Cobleskill- Michael J. Roth, 62, of Division St., died Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Schenectady Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born May 27, 1959, in Queens, NY, he was the son of Joseph C. and Margaret R. (Messina) Roth.

Mike moved to Schoharie County over 30 years ago and built his own cabin in Summit. He was a machinist for Harva Co. before his health forced him into early retirement.

A stubborn, compulsive individual, Mike lived by the mantra “Be Loud, Be Proud”.  He loved his music, although it was not everyone’s listening enjoyment. He would create and burn CDs along with other little personal pleasures such as putting together models. Mike would get a yearning for a TV program or some other activity and hone in on it until he was drawn to another interest.

Along with his parents that predeceased him was his sister, Donna Marie, who died just last year.

Cherishing his memories are his family: daughter, Michaela (Brandon) Syron of Cobleskill, brother, Joseph (Dorothy) Roth of Smyrna, DE, daughters: Krystal and Kerri Roth as well as his nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 5PM on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill with Rev. Ray Richards of Calvary Assembly of God officiating. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held at the funeral home prior to the service, from 3-5PM Sunday. Cremation will follow at Vale Crematory, Schenectady.
