Cobleskill- Michael Kodra, Jr., 85, of Mineral Springs Road, died suddenly on Friday, August 19, 2016 at his home.
Born August 18, 1931 on the family farm in Dorloo, he was the son of Frances (Kaneg) and Michael Kodra, Sr.
Mike was a lifelong dairy farmer at the Kodra Ranch in Dorloo, retiring in 1987. He continued working at Cobleskill Redi Mix and then at AmeriGas in Cobleskill.
While on the farm, he enjoyed restoring old tractors and cars. Michael also enjoyed watching western shows and doing puzzles, some of which he had framed, but his greatest joy in life was his family.
Survivors include his wife, Rose (Lipar) Kodra, whom he married October 20, 1956; his two children: Debra (Steve) Wiorek of Amsterdam and Michael Kodra III of Cobleskill; his sister: Elsie Pochkar of East Worcester; several cousins, nieces, and nephews. His brother, Charles Kodra, predeceased him.
A private graveside service will be held at Seward Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Marathon for a Better Life, PO Box 268, Warnerville, NY 12187.
