Michael Cortese

Michael Cortese, 52, of Safety Harbor, Fl died on Thursday, July 13, 2017, after a long stay at Baycare Alliant Hospital in Dunedin, Fl.

He is survived by three sons, Joseph, Michael Jr., and Alex Cortese, a daughter, Melissa Nielsen, his parents, Joseph and Ellen Cortese, seven siblings, James, Joseph, Stephen, John, Anthony, Richard Cortese and Jennifer Manus, and five grandchildren, Aaden and Carter Nielsen and Gracie, Lily and Amelia Cortese.

A Requiem Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church Cobleskill, followed by his interment at Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.

Michael always enjoyed the time he spent in Cobleskill on Greenbush Hill, a place of many fond memories, and wished to be returned to Cobleskill on his passing.

Local arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
