Maureen Valls

Goshen - Maureen A. Valls, 67, of Goshen, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 11, 2011 at Orange Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born September 30, 1943 in the Bronx, she was a daughter of Thomas and Eileen (Brown) O'Brien.

Maureen had been a longtime resident of Goshen and was a homemaker and loved animals. She was of Catholic faith.

Survivors include her children: William Valls, Jr. of Manhattan, Robert Valls of Greenwood Lake, NY, and Kellie (Joseph) Rabbitt of Cobleskill; four grandchildren: Kaitlyn Rabbitt of Cobleskill, Shannon Valls of Glenwood, NJ, Joseph Rabbitt of Cobleskill, and Melissa Valls of Glenwood, NJ; and her nephew, Robert O'Brien, Jr.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM (noon) on Friday, July15, 2011 at Calvary Cemetery, 4902 Laurel Hill Blvd., Flushing, NY. Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation to be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh.
