Mary Jane Myers

Cobleskill- Mary Jane Myers, 90, of Greenbush Hill Road, died Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Robinson Terrace Nursing Home following a long illness.

Born May 2, 1931, in Albany, she was the daughter of Donald and Helena (Smith) Myers.

She was a lifelong area resident and active in her community.

Mary Jane was employed for 11 years at Ralston Purina Checkerboard Feed Store followed by  27 years at Key Bank and retired as a Financial Analysis Assistant.  She then went on to be a file clerk at Sterling Insurance Company for 5 years.

Mary Jane was a member of the former Mineral Springs United Methodist Church and upon its closing attended Fusion Church in Cobleskill.  She served as a committee member for the Salvation Army and volunteered with the Amethyst Unit at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.

She is survived by her beloved and devoted brother, Maynard Myers.

Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation that will be held from 10 to 11 AM on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.  The funeral service will immediately follow at 11 AM with burial in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.
