Mary Proctor

Richmondville- Mrs. Mary J. Proctor, 72, of Richmondville, died suddenly at home on Tuesday, June 10, 2008.
She was born July 17, 1935 in Saratoga, NY, the adopted daughter of the late Trevor and Muriel (Fetterly) Cuydendal.
A graduate of Ithaca High School, she briefly attended SUNY Cobleskill.
She married Ray Proctor, Jr. on Christmas Eve 1957. He Predeceased her on December 19, 1988.
A homemaker, she was an avid dog lover, especially her Pomeranians.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Donald J. Proctor, who died in April of 2005.
Survivors include her sons, Ray "Smokey" Proctor III of Warnerville and Ronald C. Proctor of Roseboom, her brother, Robert Cuydendal of Iowa City, IA, her half-brother, David Girard of Bewyn, PA, 6 Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter.
A Funeral Service was held on June 13, 2008 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY with Rev. Marvin Batch officiating. Burial was in Richmondville Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richmondville Volunteer Ambulance Squad, State Route 7, Richmondville, NY 12149.
