Cobleskill- Mary Louise Brown, 82, of Gardnersville Road, died Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at her home in the loving care of her family.
Born December 21, 1939, in the town of Seward, she was the daughter of the late Le Roy and Mary (Zido) Davenport.
Mary Louise was a graduate of the former Cobleskill Central School and was a lifelong area resident. Holding various jobs in her career, she retired from being a home health aide for the former Schoharie County (now The Lexington) ARC.
She married Ivan K. Brown on November 23, 1958 and assisted him with the daily operations of the Browndales Farm. He predeceased her on April 17, 1996, and her grandson, Jason Brown, in 2003 along with a brother, Donald Davenport and a sister, Barbara Diefendorf.
Treasuring their memories are her children: Michael I. Brown of Cobleskill, James (Mary) Brown of Sherburne and Rodney Scott (Lori) Brown of Sharon Springs; Douglas Frisbee, who she considered a son; six grandchildren: Lewis (Deanna) Brown of Sherburne, NY, Hope (Tyler) Spadine of Watertown, Shae Brown of Syracuse, Danielle Brown of Sharon Springs, Jacob Brown of Schenectady, and Jack Brown of Sharon Springs and two great-grandchildren: Jason and Oliver Spadine; a brother, Romine Davenport of Cobleskill and her sister, Kathleen Lord of Florida.
A graveside service will be held at Zion Rural Cemetery, town of Seward at a time and day to be announced.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
