Mary Ann Fredenburg, 87, most recently of Jay Street, Cobleskill, New York and formerly of Oneonta died Thursday night, July 23, 2026, at her granddaughter's home, surrounded by love and family.

Born December 6, 1938, in the Village of Windsor, she was the daughter of Curtis Ackley and Anna Spafford Ackley Delamater. She was a graduate of Otego High School.

Mary was a Waitress her whole life, serving home cooked food through a variety of local diners. She enjoyed seeing her regulars at Nick's Diner and The Neptune in Oneonta.

She took great pride in making homemade cards for her loved one's special occasions. She thoroughly enjoyed 3D diamond art, watching the birds, and tending to her flower gardens. Visits from her family were a highlight for her, especially when she became homebound.

In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her stepfather, Walt Delamater; brother, Curtis Ackley, Jr.; sisters, Arlene McKinley, Linda Forkner; grandson, Jeffrey Morissette; and her significant other, Fred Fritts.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Frank Morissette of Howes Cave, NY; granddaughter, Kelly Morissette and her husband, Rick Albert; sister, Caroline Shores of Maryland; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at Cobleskill Rural Cemetery on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11:00am.
