Mary Brown

Richmondville- Mrs. Mary Ann "Annie" Brown, 65 of Lockwood Road, died Thursday, August 7,2008 at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta following a long illness.
Annie was born February 22, 1943 in Mineola, NY, the daughter of Herman D. and Marie (Gies) Schroer.
She was employed as a sales clerk at the Agway Farm Store in Cobleskill before retiring. Annie enjoyed crafts, sewing, making dolls, painting, gardening, camping, and her spending time with her grandchildren.
She was of Catholic Faith.
Survivors include her husband, Richard E. Brown, whom she married April 23, 1960; son, Richard E. (Elizabeth) Brown, Jr. of Sloansville; daughter, Kim Marie (Jeff) Coon of Richmondville; sister-in-law, Edith Schroer of Sloansville; 3 grandchildren: Rudolph Brown of Sloansville, Cassandra (Matthew) Koon of Seward, Kristi Coon (Travis Hewitt) of Cobleskill; great-grandchildren: Alan E. Koon and Katherine Marie Koon both of Cobleskill and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 11 at St. Vincent de Paul Church 138 Washington Ave. Cobleskill with Father Paul Engel as celebrant. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home 171 Elm St. Cobleskill. Burial will be in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.
