Seward- Marvin Bellinger, Jr., 84, formerly of Seward, died Tuesday, October 08, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam following a brief illness.

Born May 20, 1929 in Seward, he was a son of the late Marvin and Ruth (Zea) Bellinger, II.

A graduate of the former Cobleskill Central School, Marvin was a dairy farmer all his life on the family farm with his father and brother, Harold.

He was a licensed pilot and flying was his passion. Marvin also loved cats and dogs.

He was predeceased by a sister: Betty Donato of Canajoharie and a brother: Harold Bellinger of Seward.

Survivors include his sister: Evelyn Tripp of Carlisle; brother: Harry Ivan Bellinger of Howes Cave; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 11, 2013 at First Baptist Church, 492 W. Main St., Cobleskill, with Rev. Julien Weil officiating. Inurnment will follow in Slate Hill Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill and Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home of Middleburgh.
