Martha Fisher

Cobleskill- Martha L. Fisher, 90, of Woodland Drive, died Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Robinson Terrace Nursing Home in Stamford, NY.

Born May 28, 1931, in Canton, NY, she was the daughter of Virgil and Ethel (Murray) Leach.

Martha was a proud graduate of the St. Lawrence State Hospital School of Nursing Class 1952. She retired from Hutchins Psychiatric Center in Syracuse where she was employed for over ten years.

Martha moved to Cobleskill in 2000 and enjoyed her retirement in Schoharie County.  She would travel with her dear friends to play Bingo throughout the various sights in the county and nearby as well as the casinos.

Martha is survived by her nieces: Valerie Wilson, Melissa Klatt and Maxine Peets; her nephews: Gerald Vester and Christopher Young; and her dear friends, Floyd and Maureen Williams.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal services.  Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Shelter of Schoharie County, PO Box 40, Howes Cave, NY 12092.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, NY.
