Marria Banks

Marria E. Banks, 82, of Earls Rd. and also of Manhattan, died Thurs. June 12, 2008, peacefully at her home.

Mrs. Banks was born in Utica, NY a daughter of the late Domenick and Marie (Gioia) Coriale. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of San Jose, in California and worked as a bookkeeper at the Robinowitz-Boudien Law Firm in Manhattan, NY. She was also an actress and poet and was scheduled for her first poetry reading, in NYC at the Cornelia Street Caf?, June 19th of this year. Mrs. Banks was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, loved jazz music and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Spiritual Sister & Niece: Sheila Jordan Middleburgh and Traci Jordan, New York, NY
Sisters: Fenita, Carmel and Theresa, all of Utica, NY

A funeral service will be held at 8pm on Mon. June 16, 2008 at the Palmer & Shaylor, Inc Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh, NY. Calling hours will be Monday from 6-8PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at the Vale Crematory, Schenectady, NY.
