Marion Spencer

Warnerville-Marion A. Spencer, 98, formerly of Warnerville spent the first part of her Valentines Day with her family by her side and then went to Heaven to spend the rest of the day with her Valentine, Leonard J. Spencer, who predeceased her in 2007 and her son, Mark Leonard Spencer, who died in 1980.

Born in Richmondville on January 6, 1923, she was the daughter of John H. and Edythe (Manchester) Davis.  Marion was a graduate of the former Richmondville Central School and married Leonard on March 9, 1941.

Most of her life, Marion lived in Warnerville.  She loved to spend time with her family and care for them.  Marion was the best apple pie specialist and baked an awesome macaroni and cheese dish!

She was the beloved mother of Bonnie Cronk (Warren Proper) of Cobleskill; doting grandmother to:  John (Yvonne) Cronk of Schoharie, Ron (Lori) Cronk of Saratoga, Melissa Simpson (John MacDonald) of Stillwater, Mark (Elizabeth) Spencer of Central Bridge and April (Frank) Scamlin of Palm Bay, FL; 14 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

A private celebration of Marion’s life will be held with burial in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery at a later date.
