Mount Airy, NC - Mrs. Marion Katherine Roberts Fancher Robinson, 72, formerly of Howes Cave, NY, died Friday, April 16, 2010 at Northern Hospital of Surry County in Mount Airy, NC.
Mrs. Robinson was born February 24, 1938 in New York City, NY and was the daughter of Frederick and Anna (Caffery) Roberts.
She was a loving homemaker to her family as well as a former member of the Central Bridge Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Richmondville United Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by a husband, Glenn Fancher, who died June 21, 1984, a sister, Dorothy Gibson, and a brother, Fred Roberts.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by her husband, Manford Bruce Robinson of Mount Airy, NC, two daughters, Mary Roberts Nay of Dobson, NC and Genevieve Fancher Bland of Harrisburg, PA, a son, Fredrick Raymond Roberts of Fayetteville, NC, 11 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, and a sister, Margaret Gaida of Vale, NC.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY with Rev. Marvin Batcher of the Richmondville United Methodist Church officiating. Calling hours will be held from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Summit Cemetery, Summit, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
