Marion Ray

Cobleskill- Mrs. Marion M. Ray, 87, formerly of Delancey, NY, died Monday, May 12, 2008 at her daughter's residence where she had been living since 2003.
Mrs. Ray was born December 15, 1920 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Walter and Anna M. (Krill) McNeil.
Mrs. Ray was retired as a Postal Clerk in Centereach, Long Island and moved to Delancey before coming to Cobleskill. She was an active member of the Centereach Fire Department Auxiliary and also in charity organizations in that area.
She was of Catholic faith.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Ray, who died in 1989, an infant daughter, Dorothy, a granddaughter, Donna, and a great-granddaughter, Tara.
Survivors include 2 daughters: Kathleen (Robert) Jones of Cobleskill and Bettyann Brown of Daytona Beach, FL., a son, Harry "Chuck" (Margaret "Peg") Ray of Delancey, NY; 19 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 3great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thur. May 15, at St. Vincent de Paul Church 138 Washington Ave. Cobleskill with Father Thomas F. Holmes as celebrant. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, May 14, at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home 171 Elm St. Cobleskill. Cremation and private burial follow the service.
