Saratoga Springs, NY - Marion H. Rames of Cobleskill died Sunday, November 12 after a lengthy illness at Wesley Long-Term Care Facility.
She was born in Cooperstown, NY, on October 10, 1932, daughter of the late Clinton and Blanche Fassett Haith. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Eugene D. Rames in 2001. They were married in 1984 at Laurens, NY.
Mrs. Rames was a graduate of Alfred State College and the University at Albany, SUNY. She taught biology at the Cobleskill High School from 1971 to 1984.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Timothy and Kathleen Wales, of Saratoga Springs, and Michael and Teresa Wales of Scottsdale, AZ; a sister, Christine Girdwood, of Englewood, CO; a brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Ellen Haith of Trumansburg, NY; and five grandchildren, Gabrielle, Julia and Grace Wales of Saratoga Springs, and Kayla and Joshua Wales of Scottsdale.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 15, at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill. Memorials in Mrs. Rames honor can be made to either the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org) or the National Marfan Foundation (www.marfan.org).
