Marion Alh-Thompson

SCHOHARIE- Mrs. Marion F. Bellinger Ahl-Thompson, 83, of Driftwood Apartments, passed away peacefully and with dignity on Sunday, October 21, 2007 at her home surrounded by her cherished family.
She was born on November 2, 1923 in the Town of Seward, Schoharie County, and was the daughter of Lee and Millie (Ward) Bellinger.
Marion was a lifelong resident of Schoharie County, and was most proud of her heritage dating back to the original Palatines. She was also one of the first employees hired at the former Community Hospital of Schoharie County in Cobleskill and became Head of Housekeeping.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Raymond W. Ahl, who died on April 19, 1954.
Mrs. Ahl-Thompson is survived by her four daughters; Elizabeth Ahl Tholin of Scotia, Joan (Manuel) Ahl Pena of Niskayuna, Raydean (James) Ahl Lambert of Ballston Spa, and Judith (Phillip) Johnson of Middleburgh, 9 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 24, at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY with Vena Ray officiating. Public calling hours will be on Wed. from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Slate Hill Cemetery in Sharon, NY.
