Cobleskill- Marietta Lawyer, 105, of Elm St., died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at her residence.
Born November 5, 1908 in Seward, she was the daughter of Charles and Jenny (Houghtaling) Baxter.
Marietta was a lifelong area resident and retired from General Electric in Schenectady where she was a Senior Editor of the IBM System. She was a member of the Lawyersville Reformed Church.
She married Kenneth Lawyer on June 11, 1971 and he predeceased her August 1, 1997.
A graveside service will be held at Cobleskill Rural Cemetery in the Spring. There will be no public calling hours.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill and Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh.
