Marie Williams

Lawyersville- Mrs. Marie M. Williams, 82, formerly of Mahopac, died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam.

Born October 26, 1927 in Mahopac, NY, Marie was a daughter of Robert and Rebecca (Head) Hyatt.

She attended Mahopac Central Schools.

Mrs. Williams was employed at Baldwin TV in Mahopac, NY in the customer service department for many years, as well as a tele-typist for the Pennysaver and Bookkeeper for the Putnam County Department of Social Services.

In 1993, she and her husband moved to Lawyersville to live near their son. Her husband, Max L. Williams, Sr., predeceased her January 29, 1997, along with a brother, Raymond Hyatt.

Survivors include her daughter: Maxine (Bruce) Foley of Carmel, NY; two sons: Max L. (Patrice) Williams, Jr. of Lawyersville and William (Lora) Williams of Morgan Hill, CA; a sister: Phyllis Hotchkiss of Yorktown, NY; grandchildren- Lisa Marie Pressley, Kristen Lynn (Stephen) McCaffrey, Bruce Raymond Foley, Jr., and Michael Williams; great-grandchildren: Brenna, Devon, Rhiannon, and Aidan Max McCaffrey, and Olivia, Alicia, and Sabrina Pressley.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and long remembered for her generosity to those she cared for; her loving smile; her love for children and animals and her endless energy and vivaciousness.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Marie's hometown.
