Marie Riquier
Carlisle- Marie L. Riquier, 75, of Evergreen Road, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011 at her residence.
Born March 19, 1936 in Dumont, NJ, she was a daughter of Walter and Louise (Stengel) Koelln.
In 1970, Marie and her family moved from Nutley, NJ to Cobleskill. She retired from the former P&C Foods in Cobleskill where she was price maintenance.
Marie treasured her time spent with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed crafting and reading romance novels.
Survivors include her children: Michelle Licari (Jim Thomas) of Quaker St., Lorraine (Carl) Perez of Carlisle, Theresa (Bob) O'Rourke of Cobleskill, Genevieve Riquier of Carlisle, Nadine Castro of Schenectady, and George (Susan) Riquier of Cobleskill; her sister, Helen Kern of Coxsackie; her brother, Henry Koelln of New Jersey; twelve grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill with Sister Connie James of St. Vincent de Paul Church officiating. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held at the funeral home on Tues., from 6 to 8 PM. Burial will be in Carlisle Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, 795 E. Main St., Suite 11, Cobleskill, NY 12043.
