Marie Noxon

Cobleskill- Marie I. (Collins) Noxon, 93, formerly of Cobleskill, died Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Robinson Terrace Nursing Home where she had resided for the past four years.

Born September 25, 1926 in Stamford, NY, she was the daughter of Charles and Ivalene (Maybie) Collins, Sr. and grew up in Gilboa, NY.

On November 21, 1943 she married Grover G. Noxon and he predeceased her on October 30, 2012.

She was a stay at home mother to their three children and then worked driving school bus for Schoharie Central School until her retirement.  Marie was happiest when surrounded by her family.

She was predeceased by three siblings: Duane (Tip) Collins, Yvonne (Collins) Warner and Charles Collins, Jr.

Marie is survived by her children: Skip (Carol) Noxon of Schoharie, Richard Noxon of Madison Heights, VA, and Sharon (Ronald) Becker of Middleburgh; six grandchildren: Melissa (Joe) Yung, Randy Noxon, Shawn Noxon, Laura (Forest) Violette, Courtney (Jeff) Thomas and Kelly (Matthew) Reynolds and her beloved great-grandchildren.

Honoring Marie’s request of cremation, there will be no formal visitation or funeral service.  Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Marathon For a Better Life, PO Box 268, Warnerville, NY 12187.
