Middleburgh- Marie J. Campbell of Middleburgh, NY, passed away peacefully at home on March 1, 2015 after an extended illness which she faced with strength, grace and her ever-present sense of humor. Born April 29, 1945 in Queens, NY, she was a daughter of the late Marie F. Balfe (Cobleskill) and James E. Balfe (Duanesburg). Marie graduated from Cobleskill Central High School in 1963 and attended Cobleskill Community College. Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, community volunteer and storyteller. She enjoyed spending time and laughing with her beloved friends and family, and especially loved the dance recitals, music performances and sporting events of her grandchildren. She had been committed to such organizations as the Schoharie County Community Service Board, Marathon for a Better Life, Towne of Broome Ladies Auxiliary, Girl Scouts of America, and Red Hat Society.
