Summit- Mrs. Marie A. Biedenbach, 91, of State Route 10, died Saturday, December 27, 2008 at her residence following a long illness.
Mrs. Biedenbach was born February 10, 1917 in Brooklyn, the daughter of John F. and Mary C. (Kirschhoch) Homeyer.
Mrs. Biedenbach retired from the Town of North Hempstead, where she was employed as a clerk.
While living in that area, she was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. When she moved to Summit in 1981, she became a communicant of St. Anna's Catholic Church, and was also a member of the Senior Homemakers in Summit.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Edward Biedenbach, who died September 24, 1989.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane Emig of Cary, NC; two sons: Barry Biedenbach of Summit, NY, and Arthur Biedenbach of Smithtown, NY; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, and a brother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 212 Stonehinge Lane, Carle Place, Long Island. Monsignor Richard Bauhoff will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Long Island National Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
